dharam avashtabhya kara dvayena
tat kurpara sthapita nabhi parshvah |
uchchasano danda vad utthitah khe
mayuram etat pravadanti pitham ||32||

धरामवष्टभ्य करद्वयेन
तत्कूर्परस्थापितनाभिपार्श्वः ।
उच्चासनो दण्डवद् उत्थितः खे
मायूरम् एतत् प्रवदन्ति पीठम् ॥३२॥

dharām-avaṣṭabhya kara-dvayena
tat-kūrpara-sthāpita-nābhi-pārśvaḥ |
uccāsano daṇḍa-vad utthitaḥ khe
māyūram etat pravadanti pīṭham ||32||

Auf dem Boden mit beiden Händen stehend [dabei sind] die Ellenbogen an den Seiten des Nabels platziert. |
[Der Körper soll] angehoben wie ein Stab in der Luft verweilen. Diese Position wird Mayurasana genannt. ||32||

dharam (धराम्, dharām) = auf dem Boden
avashtabhya (अवष्टभ्य, avaṣṭabhya) = ruhen, darauf stehen
kara (कर, kara) = Hände
dvayena (द्वयेन, dvayena) = mit beiden
tad (तद्, tad) = mit diesem
kurpara (कूर्पर, kūrpara) = Ellbogen
sthapita (स्थापित, sthāpita) = platziert, positioniert
nabhi (नाभि, nābhi) = Nabel
parshvah (पार्श्वः, pārśvaḥ) = an der Seite

uchcha (उच्चा, uccā) = nach oben
asano (आसनो, āsano) = platzieren, anordnen, verweilen
danda (दण्ड, daṇḍa) = Stab, Stock
vad (वद्, vad) = wie
utthitah (उत्थितः, utthitaḥ) = gehoben
khe (खे, khe) = in die Luft
mayuram (मायूरम्, māyūram) = Pfau
etad (एतद्, etad) = dieses
