kritva samputitau karau dridhataram baddhva tu padmasanan
gadham vakshasi sannidhaya chibukam dhyayansh cha tach chetasi |
varam varam apanam urdhvam anilam protsarayan puritan
nyanchan pranam upaiti bodham atulam shakti prabhavan narah ||50||

कृत्वा सम्पुटितौ करौ दृढतरं बद्ध्वा तु पद्मासनं
गाढं वक्षसि सन्निधाय चिबुकं ध्यायंश् च तच् चेतसि ।
वारं वारम् अपानम् ऊर्ध्वम् अनिलं प्रोत्सारयन् पूरितं
न्यञ्चन् प्राणम् उपैति बोधम् अतुलं शक्तिप्रभावान् नरः ॥५०॥

kṛtvā sampuṭitau karau dṛḍhataraṁ baddhvā tu padmāsanaṁ
gāḍhaṁ vakṣasi sannidhāya cibukaṁ dhyāyaṁś ca tac cetasi |
vāraṁ vāram apānam ūrdhvam anilaṁ protsārayan pūritaṁ
nyañcan prāṇam upaiti bodham atulaṁ śakti-prabhāvān naraḥ ||50||

Die Hände wie eine Schale ruhig formen, Padmasana einnehmen [und] das Kinn fest auf die Brust senken.
[Nun] atmet [der Yogi] mit seiner Vorstellung immer wieder Apana (nach unten strömende Energie) nach oben aus und Prana (nach oben strömende Energie) nach unten ein. So wird im Menschen die Basis für Weisheit und unvergleichbare Energie [geschaffen]. ||50||
