uttanau charanau kritva uru sansthau prayatnatah |
uru madhye tathottanau pani kritva tato drishau ||47||

उत्तानौ चरणौ कृत्वा ऊरुसंस्थौ प्रयत्नतः ।
ऊरुमध्ये तथोत्तानौ पाणी कृत्वा ततो दृशौ ॥४७॥

uttānau caraṇau kṛtvā ūru-saṁsthau prayatnataḥ |
ūru-madhye tathottānau pāṇī kṛtvā tato dṛśau ||47||

Die Fußsohlen werden achtsam nach oben zeigend auf die Oberschenkel gelegt, die Hände ebenso dazwischen nach oben gerichtet. Dorthin wird der Blick gelenkt. ||47||

uttanau (उत्तानौ, uttānau) = nach oben gerichtet
charanau (चरणौ, caraṇau) = Fußsohlen
kritva (कृत्वा, kṛtvā) = platziert
uru (ऊरु, ūru) = Oberschenkel
sansthau (संस्थौ, saṁsthau) = oben drauf, auf, darauf
prayatnatah (प्रयत्नतः, prayatnataḥ) = korrekt, bewusst, achtsam
madhye (मध्ये, madhye) = zwischen
tatha (तथा, tathā) = analog
uttanau (उत्तानौ, uttānau) = nach oben gerichtet
pani (पाणी, pāṇī) = Hände
tatah (ततः, tataḥ) = dort
drishau (दृशौ, dṛśau) = Blick, Augen
