adho gatim apanam va urdhvagam kurute balat |
akunchanena tam prahur mula bandham hi yoginah ||62||

अधोगतिम् अपानं वा ऊर्ध्वगं कुरुते बलात् ।
आकुञ्चनेन तं प्राहुर् मूलबन्धं हि योगिनः ॥६२॥

adho-gatim apānaṁ vā ūrdhvagaṁ kurute balāt |
ākuñcanena taṁ prāhur mūla-bandhaṁ hi yoginaḥ ||62||

Durch das kraftvolle Anspannen, wird das nach unten fließende Apana zum Aufsteigen gebracht. |
Das wird von den Yogis wahrlich Mulabandha genannt. ||62||

adhas (अधस्, adhas) = nach unten
gatim (गतिम्, gatim) = gehen
apanam (अपानम्, apānam) = Apana, nach unten fließende Energie / Prana
vai (वै, vai) = (ind. ein verstärkender Partikel)
urdhva gam (ऊर्ध्वगम्, ūrdhva-gam) = nach oben steigen
kurute (कुरुते, kurute) = gemacht, gebracht
balat (बलात्, balāt) = kraftvoll, mit Kraft

akunchanena (आकुञ्चनेन, ākuñcanena) = durch Anspannen
tam (तम्, tam) = das, dieses
prahur (प्राहुर्, prāhur) = genannt, geschätzt
mula (मूल, mūla) = Wurzel
bandham (बन्धम्, bandham) = Bandha, Verschluss, Ventil
