sthirair angais tushtuvansas tanubhih |
vyashema devahitam yad ayuh ||
स्थिरैरंगैस्तुष्टुवांसस्तनूभिः ।
व्यशेम देवहितं यदायुः ॥
sthirair-aṁgais-tuṣṭuvāṁsas-tanūbhiḥ |
vyaśema devahitaṁ yad-āyuḥ ||
May we enjoy the long life with strong limbs |
and praise through our body what the Gods created. ||
sthiraih (स्थिरैः, sthiraiḥ) = with strong
angaih (अंगैः, aṁgaiḥ) = bodies, limbs (Plural Instrumentalis)
tushtuvansah (तुष्टुवांसः, tuṣṭuvāṁsaḥ) = may we find joy on it, enjoy it
tanubhih (तनूभिः, tanūbhiḥ) = through our body Sharira (षरीर, Ṣarīra) (Instrumentalis Plural.; tanu (तनू, tanū) often reflexive)
vyashema (व्यशेम, vyaśema) = praise, approving very much (from vi shtu (विष्टु, vi-ṣṭu), Stamm stu (स्तु, stu)); (Verb)
deva hitam (देवहितं, deva-hitaṁ) = arranged by the Gods, the favor of the Gods; (Objekt of Sentence, Acc)
yat (यत्, yat) = the (relative Pronoun Neutr. Singular)
ayuh (आयुः, āyuḥ) = the lifespan, the life time, the full lifespan, therefore a long life which is not shortened by early death (Nom.)
