In this tutorial Ronald and Verena show you how to find the point of balance between phases of physical tension and relaxation in the body. The alternating exercises offer one the opportunity to discover their personal midpoint between physical exertion and physical surrender. The exercises are complex and will challenge the entire body. This sequence is particularly helpful in relieving stress and reducing unnecessary tension in the body.

Why we recommend this video
This video is a nice alternative to your typical asana practice on days when you may feel drained or tired. By practicing this way on such days you can find a way to get on the mat despite how you are feeling. It's also a great way to wind down after a particularly stressful day when all you want to do is lay down. By choosing supine tension exercises you find a compromise between what you feel like doing and what you know will do you good. While it is a gentle practice, its effects on the body are intense.
