|Type||relax & recharge (practice)|
A work day can often be quite stressful and hectic. Our eyes become particularly stressed after spending hours in front of a computer screen and our minds become tired from so much constant input. For this reason it is of utmost importance to find ways to include rest and relaxation phases during the day.
In the AYI Method we are able to adapt our practice to meet our bodies where they are, and this means not only alternatives for movement, but also the environment in which we move. Even without a yoga mat and workout clothes you can enjoy the benefits of a small yoga practice.
Florian Sprater and yogini Anissa will present a gentle version of Suryanamaskara A that you can practice directly at your workstation using your chair. In connecting movement with your breath you can also experience the calming effects of deep and mindful breathing and can help you to clear your mind of the stress of your work day for a moment.
At the end of the practice there are some suggestions on how you can relax overstrained eyes. Experience for yourself how this moving meditation right at your workspace can give you the energy you need to get back to the tasks at hand more refreshed and focused.
