My Yoga journey started with Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. Years later I found Ashtanga Yoga (or it found me ;) ) which I practice with passion since then.
Ashtanga Yoga gave me the opportunity to practice on my own, free from Yogastudios, class schedules and (favourite) teacher.
That’s one of the things I appreciate in Ashtanga yoga - this freedom. Also the freedom to practice in my own breath rhythm. And the act of quieting my mind while no music nore the voice of a teacher or a new asana that should be learned is disturbing.
No diversion.
So it’s possible to focus on the essentials:
to unite breath and movement.
And to become present - on and off the mat.
