पवनं पश्चिमवाहिनं करोति ।"
उदयं जठरानलस्य कुर्याद्"
उदरे कार्श्यम् अरोगतां च पुंसाम् ॥३१॥

pavanaṁ paścima-vāhinaṁ karoti ।"
udayaṁ jaṭharānalasya kuryād"
udare kārśyam arogatāṁ ca puṁsām ॥31॥

Dieses Pashchimatanasana, ist die ursprünglichste unter den Asanas,
sie bringt die Energie im Rücken zum fließen, |
sie bewirkt ein intensives Verdauungsfeuer, macht den Bauch flach und befreit den Menschen von Krankheiten. ||31||
