The second chapter of Svatmarama’s Hatha yoga Pradipika, „Dvitiyo Padeshah“, tells us about Pranayama, Kumbhaka and Sat-Kriya as well as Sat-Karma.

pratar madhyandine sayam ardha-ratre cha kumbhakan |"
shanair ashiti-paryantam chatur varam samabhyaset ||11||

प्रातर् मध्यन्दिने सायम् अर्धरात्रे च कुम्भकान् ।"
शनैर् अशीतिपर्यन्तं चतुर् वारं समभ्यसेत् ॥११॥

prātar madhyandine sāyam ardha-rātre ca kumbhakān ।"
śanair aśīti-paryantaṁ catur vāraṁ samabhyaset ॥11॥

Morgends, Mittags, Abends und zur Mitternacht, soll der Yogi diese Atemübung (Kumbhaka) praktizieren, vier mal langsam steigernd bis zu 80 runden. ||11||
