The first chapter of Svatmarama’s Hatha yoga Pradipika, „Prathamo Padeshah“, is about diet and physical exercises (Asanas).

गुल्फौ च वृषणस्याधः सीवन्याः पार्श्वयोः क्षिप्ते ।"
सव्यगुल्फं तथा सव्ये दक्षगुल्फं तु दक्षिणे ॥५५॥

atha bhadrāsanam-"
gulphau ca vr̥ṣaṇasyādhaḥ sīvanyāḥ pārśvayoḥ kṣipte ।"
savya-gulphaṁ tathā savye dakṣa-gulphaṁ tu dakṣiṇe ॥55॥

Nun die Glücksverheißende Position (Bhadrasana):
Die Knöchel werden unterhalb des Scrotums an beiden Seiten des Beckenbodens platziert. Der linke Knöchel auf die linke Seite, analog das rechte Knöchel auf die rechte Seite. ||55||
