The first chapter of Svatmarama’s Hatha yoga Pradipika, „Prathamo Padeshah“, is about diet and physical exercises (Asanas).

जानोर् बहिर् वेष्टितवामपादम् ।"
प्रगृह्य तिष्ठेत् परिवर्तिताङ्गः "
श्रीमत्य्सनाथ्{ओ}[उ]दितम् आसनं स्यात् ॥२८॥
