How it's done
Stand behind the practitioner, placing your knees between the elbows and as close to the shoulders as is possible. Using your hands, press against the inner side of the student's elbows and establish counter pressure. This lengthens the back and brings the spine into extension.
Once you see that you are achieving the desired length, you can walk your knees in further onto the shoulder blades until you can support the student's back.
Effect of this adjustment
- lengthens the spine
- deepens the breath
- experience of common balance
- shoulder strengthener
