klesha karma vipaka ashayaih aparamrishtah purusha vishesha ishvarah ||24||

क्लेश कर्म विपाकाशयैःपरामृष्टः पुरुषविशेष ईश्वरः ॥२४॥

kleśa karma vipāka-āśayaiḥ-aparāmṛṣṭaḥ puruṣa-viśeṣa īśvaraḥ ||24||

Ishavara is a special being that is unaffected by the obstacles of the spiritual aspirant (klesha), specific actions and consequences (karma), or recollections or desires. ||24||

klesha (क्लेश, kleśa) = the spiritual aspirant’s obstacles; suffering; cause of suffering
karma (कर्म, karma) = actions and effects
vipaka (विपाक, vipāka) = impact of actions; consequences of actions
ashayaih (आशयैः, āśayaiḥ) = the residual elements of an action, i.e. recollections, as well as the mainsprings of new desires.
aparamrishtah (अपरामृष्टः, aparāmṛṣṭaḥ) = unaffected
purusha (पुरुष, puruṣa) = the immutable self; drashtu; here: the individual
vishesha (विशेष, viśeṣa) = special; unusual
ishvarah (ईश्वरः, īśvaraḥ) = (nom. ishvara (ईश्वर, īśvara)) personal God; concept of an ideal being
