Sentence 18

sadajnatah chitta vrttayah tat prabhoh purushasya aparinamitvat ||18||

सदाज्ञाताः चित्तव्र्त्तयः तत्प्रभोः पुरुषस्यापरिणामित्वात् ॥१८॥

sadājñātāḥ citta-vrttayaḥ tat-prabhoḥ puruṣasya-apariṇāmitvāt ||18||

The true self can always observe the misconceptions (vritti) in that which is mutable in human beings, because this pure self (purusha) is not in motion. ||18||

sada (सदा, sadā) = always
jnatah (ज्ञाताः, jñātāḥ) = known
chitta (चित्त, citta) = all that is mutable in human beings; mind; spirit
vrittayah (वृत्तयः, vṛttayaḥ) = waves; thought waves, misconceptions
tat prabhoh (तत्प्रभोः, tat-prabhoḥ) = from one’s master; master
purushasya (पुरुषस्य, puruṣasya) =~~ = the true self; drashtu
~skt~apari.naamitvaat~~ = owing to immutability
