The second chapter of Svatmarama’s Hatha yoga Pradipika, „Dvitiyo Padeshah“, tells us about Pranayama, Kumbhaka and Sat-Kriya as well as Sat-Karma.

nabhi-daghna-jale payau nyasta-nal-otkatasanah |"
adharakunchanam kuryat ksalanam basti-karma tat ||26||

अथ बस्तिः"
नाभिदघ्नजले पायौ न्यस्तनालोत्कटासनः ।"
आधाराकुञ्चनं कुर्यात् क्षालनं बस्तिकर्म तत् ॥२६॥

atha bastiḥ-"
nābhi-daghna-jale pāyau nyasta-nāl-otkaṭāsanaḥ ।"
ādhārākuñcanaṁ kuryāt kṣālanaṁ basti-karma tat ॥26॥

Nun die Darmreinigung (Basti):
Im Wasser bis zum Nabel, ein Röhrchen in den After eingeführt, in der Hocke, |
soll der Yogi den Beckenboden kontrahieren. Diese Reinigung mit Wasser ist die Darmreinigung (Basti) || 26||
