The second chapter of Svatmarama’s Hatha yoga Pradipika, „Dvitiyo Padeshah“, tells us about Pranayama, Kumbhaka and Sat-Kriya as well as Sat-Karma.

baddha-padmasano yogi pranam chandrena purayet |"
dharayitva yatha-shakti bhuyah suryena rechayet ||7||

बद्धपद्मासनो योगी प्राणं चन्द्रेण पूरयेत् ।"
धारयित्वा यथाशक्ति भूयः सूर्येण रेचयेत् ॥७॥

baddha-padmāsano yogī prāṇaṁ candreṇa pūrayet ।"
dhārayitvā yathā-śakti bhūyaḥ sūryeṇa recayet ॥7॥

Im gebundenen Lotussitz (Baddha-Padmasana) soll der Yogi durch das linke Nasenloch (Chandra) die Lebensenergie (Prana) einatmen, |
und nach dem Anhalten entsprechend der eigenen Kraft, soll der Yogi durch das rechte Nasenloch (Surya) wieder ausatmen. ||7||
