The pelvic floor consists of muscular connective tissue of the pelvic cavity in humans. The top muscle is the pelvic floor, the back part of the pelvic floor, the Musculus coccygeus as well as the Musculus levator ani (with its three parts Musculus puborectalis, Musculus pubococcygeus and Musculus iliococcygeus), penetrated by the rectum.
