The second chapter of Svatmarama’s Hatha yoga Pradipika, „Dvitiyo Padeshah“, tells us about Pranayama, Kumbhaka and Sat-Kriya as well as Sat-Karma.

Sentence 15

yatha sinho gajo vyaghro bhaved vashyah shanaih shanaih |"
tathaiva sevito vayur anyatha hanti sadhakam ||15||

यथा सिंहो गजो व्याघ्रो भवेद् वश्यः शनैः शनैः ।"
तथैव सेवितो वायुर् अन्यथा हन्ति साधकम् ॥१५॥

yathā siṁho gajo vyāghro bhaved vaśyaḥ śanaiḥ śanaiḥ ।"
tathaiva sevito vāyur anyathā hanti sādhakam ॥15॥

Ähnlich wie ein Löwe, Elefant oder Tiger sehr langsam gezähmt werden, |
genau so gelangt auch der Atem unter Kontrolle. Ansonsten zerstört er den Yogi. ||15||

hanti = zerstören
sādhakam = (akk.) den Yoga-Übenden, Yogi
