Yoga Sūtra 4.25-26: From discernment (viveka) arises inner freedom (kaivalya)

The Yogin develops discernment (viveka) between it's pure essence (puruṣa) and its perceptual space (citta). From this arises inner freedom (kaivalya).

Observe the difference between your perceptual space (citta) and your essence of being (puruṣa). You will see that your essence is not the perceptual space.

For those who have attained this differentiating vision (viśeṣa-darśin) [between (citta) and (puruṣa)], [arises] the disappearance of imagination (bhāvanā-nivr̥tti) of being [of (citta)] as a true self (ātman-bhāvana).

When your perceptual space (citta) has reached this level of distinction (viveka), you will experience inner freedom (kaivalya).
