janma-oshadhi-mantra-tapas-samadhi-jah siddhayah ||1||

जन्मओषधिमन्त्रतपस्समाधिजाः सिद्धयः ॥१॥

janma-oṣadhi-mantra-tapas-samādhi-jāḥ siddhayaḥ ॥1॥

Supernatural powers (siddhis) arise from birth, drugs, mantras, austerity, or yoga (samadhi) ||1||

janma = (acc. sg. n./nom. sg. n. from janman) birth
oṣadhim = (acc. sg. f. from oṣudhi) drugs; herbs; medicinal herbs
mantra = (iic.) mantra; acoustic energy
tapaḥ = (acc. sg. n./nom. sg. n. from tapas) austerity; self-training
samādhi = (iic.) transcendent state; the goal of yoga
jāḥ = (nom. pl. m./acc. pl. f./nom. pl. f. from ja) arise from
siddhayaḥ = (nom. pl. f. from siddhi) supernatural powers
