Sentence 19

na tat-svabhasam drishyatvat ||19||

न तत्स्वाभासं दृश्यत्वात् ॥१९॥

na tat-svābhāsaṁ dr̥śyatvāt ॥19॥

As that which is mutable in human beings is not inherently identifiable, it is a perceptible object. ||19||


na = (part.) not
tat = (acc. sg. n./nom. sg. n. from tad) whose
svā = (nom. sg. f. from sva) itself
bhāsam = (acc. sg. m. from bhāsa) illuminating; luminous; identifiable; recognizable
svā-bhāsam = self illuminating; inherently recognizable
dr̥śyatvāt = perceptibility; a perceptible object
